Survey Seeks Input On Regional Transportation
The following announcement was provided by Jeanette Rebecchi, transportation services coordinator for the town of Lexington.
The Metropolitan Area Planning Council (MAPC) and the Minuteman Advisory Group on Interlocal Coordination (MAGIC) is conducting a regional transportation survey for the Town of Lexington to better understand the public transportation needs in our community.
This survey is part of a larger effort to address the lack of public transportation options across thirteen towns between Routes 128 and 495. In light of recent proposals made by the MBTA it, is essential to identify the transportation needs of our community.
The results of this survey will help us better understand who is currently using public transportation, what they are using it for, where they are going, and if they aren’t using it what are their reasons for not doing so. The goal of this larger effort is to find more efficient and cost-effective solutions to providing public transportation to residents, businesses and organizations within and across all thirteen towns.
Please participate in this survey by June 30, 2012 at http://www.surveymonkey.com/s/4LEXINGTON or through the town website http://lexingtonma.gov/portal/news-events.cfm.
