Lexington's Tim Johnson Signs Sacred Heart’s Letter of Intent
Wednesday, February 6, was National Letter of Intent signing day and Tim Johnson of Lexington committed to the Sacred Heart Football Program.
Johnson joined 10 of his BC High football teammates who are going on to play football at the college level for a ceremony in the school library held for the families and friends of the Eagles’ athletes.
On a day that marks a milestone for many families across the nation, Coach Joe Gaff’s scholar-athletes stressed the notion that Wednesday was but a transitional day. “In looking for colleges,” they said,” we all did the same thing. We’re all setting ourselves up for life outside of football.
“Football’s going to end sometime, whether that’s two years, four years from now, or even if we’re lucky enough to make it to the NFL,it’s going to happen sometime. We need that education for when it does end. That’s what all of us have found.”
