ABOUT TOWN: Two Painted Chairs
And a walk through the center.
Today’s a scorcher, so find respite somewhere, please.
Sheila Butts noted in our Patch comments section, that the town pool complex is open until 9:45 p.m. You can always grab a book and head to Cary Memorial Library, too.
On my way to Michelson’s to “work” I stopped at Avenue Deli for my half Reuben before continuing to the town’s most famous and oldest shoe store.
Today, I followed Eric and took notes – mentally and with my pen. There’s a reason they are so successful and I'll have something on that Monday.
By way of background, six chairs were painted by local artists. Tickets to win one of these chairs are $10 each and may be purchased at the Lexington Historical Society Office at the Depot or by calling 781-862-1703.
Proceeds will go toward the Munroe Tavern restoration -- and winners, chosen on Nov. 19, 2011, will have a piece of art.
Look for them, they are gorgeous. And then, buy a ticket!
