Why Go: Because musicians Tom Yates, Rick Maida and Mike Avery are promising a musical journey through rock history.

2. Family Trees: A Celebration of Children's Literature at the Concord Museum
Where/When: Concord Museum 53 Cambridge Tpke, Concord; 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Friday, Nov. 23 and Saturday, Nov. 24
Why Go: From Nov. 21 through Jan. 1, the Museum’s galleries are filled with 38 fanciful trees of all shapes and sizes, decorated with original ornaments inspired by acclaimed children’s storybooks and contemporary picture book favorites.
Pricing: Museum admission is $15 adults, $10 seniors, $6 children (4-18); children under 4 and members are free.
4. Exciting Winsor Music Young Artist Concert: Baritone Elliott Hines, plus Pearson, Harbison, Diaz, Popper-Keizer, Colton, Beattie and more
Where/When: Follen Community Church, 755 Massachusetts Ave, Lexington; 8 p.m., Saturday, Nov. 24
Why Go: An exciting and eclectic program is in store for concertgoers on November 24th, beginning with the Coffee Cantata of J. S. Bach, which will be performed in English, followed by Joan Tower’s Tocanta for oboe and harpsichord and then three tangos of Boston’s own star composer John Harbison, as well as Thanks, Victor, his musical tribute to songwriter Victor Young.

3. Lexington's Vintage Signs
Where/When: Buckman Tavern, 1 Bedford St, Lexington; 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., Saturday, Nov. 24
Why Go: "Lexington's Vintage Signs," has been curated by the Lexington Historical Society from its collection, features vintage signs and the chance to learn about about town businesses long gone from our streetscape by viewing their surviving logos and advertising plaques.

5. Mostly Waltz with Mary Lea and Peter Barnes
Where/When: Concord Scout House, Inc., 74 Walden St, Concord; 2 p.m., Sunday, Nov. 25
Why Go: Beginning with a dance lesson from 2 to 3 p.m., the the Folk Arts Center of New England hosts an afternoon of dancing to a variety of live waltz tunes and tempo, interspersed with different couple dances such as a polka, hambo, schottis, swing, tango, blues, zwiefacher, etc.
