Five Things: Nonprofit Net Seminar, Meetings and More

A quick look at what you need to see, do and know on Dec. 18 in Lexington.

 

1. Nonprofit Net December Seminar: Given the season it seems appropriate that gifts are the focus of this Nonprofit Net seminar, scheduled for 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. today at Cary Library. Topics include, among other things, which types of gifts are best suited to meet the donor's goals and provide guidelines on how to incorporate the planned giving program in your fundraising campaigns. 2. Today in Public Meetings: According to the town website, public meetings posted for today include the Capital Expenditures Committee at 8 a.m. at the Town Office Building, the Economic Development Advisory Committee at 8 a.m. at Cary Hall, the Hanscom Field Advisory Commission at 7 p.m. at the Town Office Building, the Conservation Commission at 7:30 p.m. at the Town Office Building and the School Committee at 7:30 p.m. at the Town Office Buidling.

3. Holiday Market: Looking to do a little local holiday shopping? All manner of one-of-a-kind gifts are available from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. today at the Lexington Arts and Crafts Society over on Waltham Street.

5. Warm and Rainy: More rain in the forecast today, with temeratures climing into the mid-50s, according to the National Weather Service, which predicts more showers on a cloudy night in which the temps drop to the mid-30s.
