Five Things: Community Center the Focus of Today's First Friday Forum

A quick look at what you need to see, do and know on Dec. 7 in Lexington.

 

1. LWV First Friday Forum: At 9:15 a.m. this morning at Cary Library, the League of Women Voters' First Friday Forum presents opportunity to discuss the findings of the Community Center Task Force, which recently recommended establishing a community center in Lexington.

2. FY2014 Budget Presentations: Beginning at 8 a.m. this morning at the Town Office Building, the Board of Selectmen will hear fiscal 2014 budget presentations from the library, Human Services, Community Development and Facilities departments and will approve a 300th tax bill insert.

3. Holiday Market: Looking to do a little local holiday shopping? All manner of one-of-a-kind gifts are available from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. today at the Lexington Arts and Crafts Society over on Waltham Street.

5. Cloudy Day, Rainy Night: Should be mostly cloudy, with a high of 45 and a chance of rain in the late afternoon into evening, according to the National Weather Service, which predicts patchy fog and more rain overnight with a low of 35.
