Five Things: Stump Trivia, Time Capsule Considerations

A quick look at what you need to see, do and know on March 5 in Lexington.

 

1. Suggest Items for the Lexington Time Capsule: As part of Lexington’s 300th Anniversary Celebration, 5--year Lexington resident Stan Abkowitz has donated a titanium time capsule to be buried to be reopened in 2063, at the town’s 350th Anniversary. Lexington residents are invited to consider what they'd like to include, and the 300th Anniversary Committee will have a table at Incorporation Weekend to collect ideas.

2. Today in Public Meetings: According to the town website, public meetings posted for today include: The Tree Committee at 7:30 a.m. at the DPW Building, the Tax Deferral and Exemption Study Committee at 8:30 a.m. at the Town Office Building, the Community Preservaiton Committee at 2 p.m. at the Town Office Building, the Communications Advisory subcommittee on Comcast at 6:30 p.m. at the Town Office Building and the Conservation Commission at 7:30 p.m. at Cary Hall.

3. Stump! Trivia: You can play at 7 p.m. tonight at Aloft Lexington.

5. Could Rain, Could Snow: Should be mostly cloudy today, with a chance of rain/snow and a high of 44, according to the National Weather Service, which predicts more of the same overnight and a low of 31.
