1. Salsa NightWhere/When: Waldorf School of Lexington, 739 Massachusetts Ave, Lexington; 7 to 9 p.m., April 30.
Why Go: The Waldorf School's seventh-graders (and their families) are presenting an evening of music, moving, food, fun and friendship. Proceeds benefit their Spanish curriculum.
Pricing: Tickets: $30 per family ($40 at the door); $10 per adult ($15 at the door) and $8 per child.

2. Silly Laughing PoetryWhere/When: Robbins Library, 700 Massachusetts Ave, Arlington; 3 to 4 p.m., Saturday, April 30.
Why Go: Audience participation is part of the fun in this "Silly Laughing Musical Fun Poetry Show" with Jeff Nathan
Pricing: Free, open to all.

3. Classic Car Event Where/When: 13 Depot Sq, Lexington; 12 to 3 p.m., Sunday, May 1.
Why Go: To check out a collection of cool, classic cars in Depot Square, of course.

4. Local Author at the Elephant's TrunkWhere/When: The Elephant's Trunk Bookshop, 1764 Massachusetts Ave, Lexington; 1 p.m., Sunday, May 1.
Why Go: Local author David Kelly stop by The Elephant's Trunk to sign books and take quesitons about questions about his young reader chapter book series, "Ballpark Mysteries."
Pricing: Free

5. Sing Into Spring RecitalWhere/When: First Baptist Church, 1580 Massachusetts Ave, Lexington3:30 p.m., Sunday, May 1.
Why Go: "Sing Into Spring" is a vocal recital in which First Baptist Church's solosist will present secular and sacred music, Broadway Show tunes, operatic arias and duets.
Pricing: Free and open to all.
