1. Ghost Army of WWII - 1-Day Exhibit
Where/When: Lexington Depot, 13 Depot Square; 12 to 5 p.m., Saturday, March 3
Why Go: View original wartime artworks by Ghost Army soldiers (pictured), wartime artifacts, photos, and video from an in-progress documentary film, seven years in the making. WWII re-enactors will also be on hand. It's a benefit for Lexington resident Rick Beyer's independent film honoring the brave and creative men of The Ghost Army.

2. Estabrook School's 50th Anniversary Celebration
Where/When: Estabrook School, 117 Grove St. and the Knights of Columbus Heritage Hall at 177 Bedford St.; Friday, March 2 and Saturday, March 3
Why Go: To celebrate the 50th Anniversary of the Estabrook School (really, the opening of what was then known as the Grove Street School), the PTA will be hosting a number of events, including an alumni dinner Friday evening, group photo at 2 p.m. Saturday, a time capusule tea at 3 p.m. Saturday and retrospective party that night at Heritage Hall.

3. Pops! Art of the States
Where/When: First Parish in Lexington Unitarian Universalist, 7 Harrington Road; 8 p.m., Saturday, March 3
Why Go: Because it's not everyday that the Master Singers of Lexington depart from its classical repertoire to present stately songs from stage and screen, including “Georgia On My Mind”, Randy Newman’s “Louisiana 1927,” “Oklahoma” and many more.
Pricing: $23 general admission; $18 for students and seniors

4. An ACB Preview Band Concert
Where/When: Cary Memorial Building, 1605 Massachusetts Ave.; 2 p.m., Sunday, March 4
Why Go: The Metropolitan Wind Symphony has received the singular honor of an invitation to perform at the 2012 Annual Conference of the Association of Concert Bands. This concert will be a preview of the major works to be performed at the ACB.
Pricing: General admission is $18; $14 for seniors and college students; $6 for students ages 6 to 18 and free for children aged 5 and under.

5. Friends of Minuteman NHP Winter Lecture Series
Where/When: Minuteman Visitor Center, Route 2A, Lincoln; 3 to 5 p.m., Sunday, March 4
Why Go: Hilary Anderson Stelling, director of exhibtions at the National Heritage Museum, will introduce some of the memebers of the Lexington community who played a role in the war of independenceand discuss the polituical and social circumstnces that led to the the armed confrontation.
