Five Things You Need to Know Today: June 4

Laughter yoga, a virtual trip to Paris, Hartwell Avenue traffic mitigation plans and more today in Lexington.

 

1. Paris: Food, Fashion, Flirtation: At 7 p.m. tonight, Cary Memorial Library hosts a virtual tour of Paris, with Lexington resident Rebecca Ruquist, an American scholar of French culture, will serving as your personal tour guide and using Google maps, as well as a variety of media, including music and photos, to provide insider's view of the City of Lights.

2. Hartwell Avenue Traffic Mitigation Plans: The Planning Board will be at the Board of Selectmen's meeting at 7 p.m. this evening to present Hartwell Avenue Traffic Mitigation Plans for review and endorsement. 

3. Also On the Agenda: The rest of the Board of Selectmen's agenda for its meeting tonight at the Town Office Building includes the Lions Club Annual Carnival plans and approvals, presentation of Public Works projects and approval of a charge for the Ad Hoc Town Facilities Master Planning Committee.

4. Laughter Club: See for yourself if what they say is true about laughter being the best medicine with Laughter Yoga at 6 p.m. this evening at First Parish in Lexington Unitarian Universalist.

5. Another Damp and Grey Day: Should be mostly cloudy with a chance of showers and a high of only 58, according to the National Weather Service, which predicts a continued chance of showers overnight with a low of 50.
