Five Things You Need To Know Today: May 21

1. New Look, Same BOS: The Board of Selectmen is back in action tonight, and reoranization is at the top of the agenda when the board begins its open session around 7 p.m. at the Town Office Building. Additional agenda items include approving charges for the Cary Memorial Building Program Committee and for the Ad Hoc Town Facilities Master Planning Committee.

2. Today in Public Meetings: According to the town website, public meetings posted for today include: the Maria Hastings School Site Council at 7:45 a.m. at the school; the Tourism Committee at 4 p.m. at the Town Office Building; the Greenway Corridor Committee at 4:30 p.m. at the Cary Memorial Building and an executive session of the School Committee at 6 p.m. at the Town Office Building.

3. Rotary Club of Lexington Meeting: The Rotary Club of Lexington meets at 12:15 p.m. this afternoon at Waxy O'Connors.

4. DPW Day! Don't forget, DPW Day is this Thursday, May 24, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The annual event, held in recognition of National Public Works Week, features equipment displays and activities for the kiddies.

5. Showers Possible and T-Storms Maybe: There's a chance of showers early and late, with possible thunderstorms in between, according to the National Weather Service, which predicts a daytime high of 66 and overnight low of 57.
