Five Things You Need to Know Today: May 31

Senior prom, a home playoff game, meetings and more today in Lexington.

 

1. Senior Prom's Tonght: Lexington High School's senior prom is tonight at the Danversport Yacht Club. There's a reception hosted by PTSA from 4 to 6 p.m. at the LHS Commons and buses depart at 6:15 p.m. sharp, with a return to the school's front parking lot at 11:30 p.m.

2. LHS Baseball Hosts Home Playoff Game: The No. 11-seeded Lexington High Varsity baseball team hosts No. 22 Newton North at 2 p.m. this afternoon in the preliminary round of the MIAA North Division 1 playoffs.

3. Today in Public Meeting: According to the town website, public meetings posted for today include the Retirement Board at 8 a.m. at Cary Memorial Library, the Recreation Committee's Lincoln Park Sub-committee at 4 p.m. at Cary Hall and the Water Sewer Abatement Board at 4:30 p.m. at the DPW Building.

4. 5. Sunny Day: Should be sunny today, with a high of 78, according to the National Weather Service, which predicts a mostly clear evening with a low of 54.
