The Red Sox equipment truck leaves Fenway Park for Fort Myers tomorrow, but the Lexington Girl Scouts had a "Truck Day" of their own earlier this week when a literal truckload of Girl Scout cookies arrived at St. Brigid’s parking lot on Tuesday, Feb. 7. 

Twenty-two Girl Scout Troops participated in this year’s town delivery in which 11,832 boxes were unloaded, counted and loaded into individual cars to fulfill individual orders given to the girls.

Thin Mints was top-seller in town as Tuesday's delivery included 3,632 boxes of the perennial favorite and another 2,484 boxes of Caramel deLites, according to Jeanne Hobbs, the Service Unit Cookie Manager for Lexington.

Hungry customers who did not order cookies via the town delivery can still find Lexington troops selling cookies every Saturday and Sunday at Wilson Farm from 12 to 4 p.m., through the first weekend of March, or enter their zip code into the cookie booth locator to find booth sales at all locations in Eastern Massachusetts.

According to Hobbs, there are 287 registered Girl Scouts in Lexington and more than 130 registered adult volunteers.
