Grab Coffee with State Sen Candidate Joe Kearns Goodwin This Saturday
The Concord Democrat's "Cup o' Joe with Joe" campaign comes to Lexington's Ride Studio Cafe tomorrow, June 2, from 7:30 to 8:30 a.m.
The following was provided by the campaign for Joe Kearns Goodwin, who is seeking the 3rd Middlesex State Senate seat opening upon the retirement of state Sen. Susan Fargo, D-Lincoln.
Earlier this week, in recognition of National Small Business Week, state senate candidate Joe Kearns Goodwin, a Democrat from Concord, announced that he plans to hold weekly meetings with members of the community at locally owned and operated coffee shops in each of the 9 towns and cities in the Third Middlesex District.
The Lexington “Cup o’ Joe with Joe” event will occur this Saturday morning, June 2, from 7:30 to 8:30 a.m. at Ride Studio Cafe. Coffee will be provided to those who attend the meet and greet. The campaign and volunteers will canvass door-to-door in Lexington immediately following the morning’s open coffee event.
“As I talk with individuals and families across our district, I hear worry and anxiety about the economic prosperity of our neighborhoods and communities. I hope that by holding events in locally owned businesses we can continue to have a dialogue as a district about the unique economic challenges we are facing and working together to find solutions,” said Kearns Goodwin, who has made community development and economic recovery a centerpiece of his campaign for state Senate. “The health of local, small businesses has had a direct impact on our ability to thrive during challenging economic times. As state Senator, I will be an advocate for the needs of small business owners because I understand that our communities rely on their success.”
