Late Night Crash Leaves One Dead

State Police are investigating a single-car crash that occurred last night on Route 2 west in Lexington and claimed the life of the vehicle's lone occupant.

 

A Watertown man has died from injuries sustained in a single-car crash last night on Route 2 in Lexington. 

According to a MSP press release this morning, at 11:56 p.m. Monday, Nov. 28, state troopers assigned to barracks in Concord and Brighton responded to crash in which a 2008 Toyota Scion sedan struck a guardrail at a high rate of speed and rolled over on Route 2 west, prior to exit 54 in Lexington.

The lone occupant, identified as Anthony L. Signoretti, 28, of Watertown, was ejected from his car and sustained life-threatening injuries. Signoretti was transported to Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Boston, where he died from his injuries this morning, according to the press release and news reports.

Police said the facts and circumstances of the accident are still under investigation by State Police, with assistance from the MSP Collision Analysis and Reconstruction and Crime Scene sections.

Last night, troopers received assistance from the Lexington Police and Fire departments and responders shut down Route 2 west for about three hours during the investigation, the press release said.
