Lexington's 300th: Seven Stories from the First Seven Hours
Lexingtonians young and old kicked off a nine-month celebration to celebrate the town's 300th anniversary with an impressive lineup of opening-day festivities on Saturday, Sept. 22.
Lexington's 300th birthday bash kicked-off in a big way on Saturday, Sept. 22, with opening ceremonies, an all-town photograph, arts and crafts festival, country fair, music and an "Amazing Race" inspired contest that took place around town. That evening, there was a community dance, and on Sunday was the Lexington Symphony's world premier in honor of the tercentennial.
