More Details on Lexington Center Bank Robbery

Lexington Police and other agencies are investigating the robbery, which occurred about 5:25 p.m. Monday, March 4 at the TD Bank on Mass Ave.

 

The TD Bank in Lexington Center was reportedly robbed around 5:25 p.m. Monday, March 4 by a white man who passed a note to a bank clerk and made off with an undisclosed amount of money, according to information provided by the Lexington Police Department.

Police described the man as being white, but with an olive complexion, and in his 30s, about 5'9" and 180 pounds. He was reportedly wearing a blue and red knit cap and an over-sized blue jacket with a hood at the time of the robbery.

The suspect, who reportedly did not show a weapon, left the area in an unkown direction and Lexington Police, along with K9 units from surrounding communities, seached the area after the robbery.

As of 10:45 p.m. Monday night, the investigation was ongoing by investigtors from the LPD and other agencies, including the regional bank robbery task force, according to Lt. Chris Barry, a spokesman for the Lexington Police Department.
