Motorist Charged for Role in Lexington School Bus Crash

Accident occurred Friday, March 1.


A Lincoln woman has been cited for multiple motor vehicle violations following her role in a March 1 accident involving a Lexington school bus. 

According to the Lexington Police Department, the woman—who was transported to Lahey Clinic with non-life threatening injuries immediately following the crash—has been cited for marked lanes and turning violations.

The accident occurred around 8:15 a.m. on Friday, March 1, when the woman allegedly made an illegal turn on the ramp between Route 2 and Spring Street in Lexington. Three Bridge Elementary School students were transported to Emerson Hospital as a precautionary measure after the accident, and were reunited with their parents shortly thereafter, the Lexington Public Schools said, via press release, at the time.

"All other students have been assessed and evaluated by school staff and Lexington emergency responders," the press release said. "All students are doing fine. Teachers and staff are aware of which students were involved in the incident and are providing support as necessary."
