UPDATE: Officials say Family in I-95 Car Crash from Lexington
The family of four injured today on I-95 in Walpole reportedly is from Lexington — and the story is dramatic.
Update 10:15 p.m.
The 15-month-old boy injuried in Saturday afternoon's accident is listed in serious condition at Children's Hospital Boston, according to WHDH. That is an improvement from his earlier critical condition.
According to WHDH, a Lexington family of four was traveling south on I-95 in Walpole when their 2007 Honda Accord went off the road.
The identities of those in the car have not been released, but WHDH is reporting it was a 36-year-old man, a 33-year-old woman, a 5-year-old boy and the 15-month-old.
The accident remains under investigation, WHDH reported, but authorities are looking into whether the wintry weather could have been a factor.
A Lexington family of four survived a single-car crash on I-95 today, after the 15-month-old boy in the car, who was at first believed by state police to have died, was revived at Norwood Hospital, according to a MyFox Boston report.
The boy is said to be in stable condition Saturday night and apparently still has severe injuries. He has been moved to Children's Hospital in Boston.
Besides the 15-month-old, two adults and a 5-year old boy were also in the car, according to NECN, when the 2007 Honda went off the road.
All lanes of a southbound stretch of I-95 were closed in the early afternoon after the incident, and backed up traffic for hours.
