Open Houses Along Battle Road

Minute Man NHP is hosting open houses/trade days along the Battle Road on Saturday, Sept. 17.

The following is a press release from Minute Man National Historical Park.

On Saturday, Sept. 17, Minute Man National Historical Park will offer a rare opportunity to see inside most of the restored historic homes along the Battle Road in the park.

Visit the Nathan Meriam House, Samuel Brooks House, Job Brooks House and Colonel James Barrett House in Concord; the Noah Brooks Tavern, Captain William Smith House and John Nelson House in Lincoln, and the Jacob Whittemore House in Lexington.

Join us from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. to explore different trades and tales of the colonial period including a joiner, blacksmith, tailor, printer, cordwainer, and cooper, along with spinning, dyeing and weaving, agriculture and archaeology.

Start your visit by picking up a park map and a schedule at Minute Man Visitor Center on Route 2A in Lexington, or at North Bridge Visitor Center, 174 Liberty St. in Concord and then walk, drive, or ride your bike from house to house.
