Lexington residents Kim Effron, Andrea Mael, age 15, Sara Mael, 15, and Donna Kell celebrate at Project Bread’s recent Walk Celebration and Awards Ceremony. Sara is a Heart & Sole Walker and team leader for “Girls Against Hunger,” which raised $2,465 to fund hunger relief programs funded by Project Bread. The ceremony was held at the Museum of Science in Boston and recognized the success of the 44th annual Walk for Hunger, which had more than 43,000 participants and raised $3.6 million to help fight hunger in Massachusetts.
