Photo of the Day: LFD Announces Promotions
A lieutenant makes captain; a firefighter rises to rank of lieutenant and a new hire comes aboard.

The following announcement was provided by Fire Chief John Wilson.
On May 25, the Lexington Fire Department promoted Lt. Derek Sencabaugh to the rank of Captain, and Firefighter John Nogler to the Rank of Lieutenant. Both individuals have been members of the department for 17 years. They have each had pivotal rolls in the department. Capt. Sencabuagh is the department Quartermaster and a member of the Fire Investigation Unit. Lt. Nogler is one of the department mechanics and a member of the State Hazmat Team.
Additionally, newly hired FF/Paramedic Michael Stevens was appointed to the Department on June 11. Mike comes to us from the Stow Fire Department; he is a graduate of the Massachusetts Fire Academy.
