Lexington held a powerful Wilmington team somewhat in check early on, but the Wildcats utilized a stunning scoring spree to take control of Saturday's game and win, 8-2, on Dec. 15 in Wilmington.

Wilmington scored three times in 1:01 of game time in the third period, including two goals in seven seconds.

Joseph Arciprete and Henrik Nilsson each scored for Lexington, but it wasn't enough for the locals, who have been overpowered significantly in their opening games of the season.
