The Boston Red Sox ended April by evening the team's record at 11s with a win over the visiting Oakland Athletics. But, before that happened, the Lexington Police Department's Honor Guard presented the colors before the National Anthem to start the game.

In case you were wondering about the game: Starting pitcher Clay Buchholz continued to underwhelm, allowing six runs on seven hits and five walks over 6 2/3 innings. But DH David Ortiz stayed hotter than the weather, adding a pair of solo home runs to his impressive April, and Mike Aviles added a three-run homer and Darnell McDonald a two-run job as the longball-led BoSox topped the A's, 11-6.
