Police Log: A Jewlery Theft and DUI Arrest
The following information from Sept.19 to 23 was provided by the Lexington Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.
Monday, Sept. 19
9:47 a.m. – Police responded to a report of spray-paint vandalism on Skyview Road.
10:44 a.m. – Officers investigated a motor vehicle accident on Worthen Road.
12:45 p.m. – Police responded to a reported domestic dispute on Bow Street.
1:48 p.m. – Two windows on a front-end loader were allegedly broken with a rock while parked at Lexingotn High School sometime between late afternoon on Sept. 18 to early morning Sept. 19.
Tuesday, Sept. 20
2:37 a.m. – A noise complaint came in from Mass Ave.
10:54 a.m. – Police checked out a report of a male sleeping in a running vehicle on Marrett Road.
3:33 p.m. – Officers responded to a reported vandalism involving a broken window on Frances Road.
4 p.m. – Police investigated a motor vehicle accident at Bedford Street and Route 128-95.
5:55 p.m. – A parking complaint came in from Waltham Street.
11 p.m. – Assist an officer of homeland security attempting to place a cease and desist order on a party. They had information that he may have been in Lexington, on Woburn Street and Leonard Road, but were unable to locate him.
Wednesday, Sept. 21
8:52 a.m. – A Banks Avenue resident reported vandalism involving soiled underwear smeared over a mailbox.
10:21 a.m. – Officers responded to a reported breaking-and-entering at the Center Playgrounds, where the doors to the mens and ladies rooms were kicked in. Police found no damage inside.
1:52 p.m. – A Bertwell Avenue resident reported three pieces of jewelry valued at nearly $3,000 were stolen from the home.
3:24 p.m. – Police received a report of a white male in his 30s, with a cast on his arm, walking down Wood Street opening mailboxes.
7:03 p.m. – A Cary Avenue resident reported that sometime during the day the house was entered, apparently through an unlocked back door, and a laptop, a Coach purse and two books of checks.
Thursday, Sept. 22
10:08 a.m. – A Lexington man was arrested at his home for motor vehicle infractions in Burlington. Brian C. Tsui, 21, of 678 Lowell St., Lexington, was arrested on a Burlington warrant for operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license.
11:20 a.m. – Officers investigated a motor vehicle accident at Waltham Street and Marrett Road.
11:36 a.m. – Police checked out a report of a suspicious male in a Waltham Street parking lot.
12:09 p.m. – A construction manager on Shire Way reported a $1,200 saw was taken from the site.
12:09 p.m. – Officers investigated a motor vehicle on Mass Ave.
2:54 p.m. – Officers investigated a motor vehicle accident on Mass Ave and Muzzey Street.
10:22 p.m. – Officers received a report of a vehicle into a pole on maple street and the vehicle left the scene heading toward Lowell Street. Following a short pursuit, a Lexington man was arrested for operating under the influence. Young Cho, 47, of 1 Northgate Circle, Lexington, was charged with operating a motor vehicle under the influence of liquor, leaving the scene after property damage, failure to stop for police, and marked lanes violations.
