Police Log: Accidents, Arrests and Kids Caught Shoplifting
The following information was provided by the Lexington Police Department. An arrest does not indicate a conviction.
Monday, Feb. 25
8:39 a.m. – Officers responded to a reported motor vehicle accident in the area of Hartwell Avenue and Maguire Road.
9:54 a.m. – Officers investigated a reported motor vehicle accident in the area of Grant and Sherman streets.
1:48 p.m. – A parking complaint regarding construction trucks came in from a Lisbeth Street resident.
2:59 p.m. – Police responded to a report of shoplifting on Mass Ave in which a juvenile was detained at CVS for attempting to steal less than $10 worth of goods. Discipline was handled by the store in the form of a no-trespass notice, the incident report said.
3:59 p.m. – Police responded to a reported theft of building materials in which oak flooring reportedly went missing from an Eaton Road residence under construction sometime between the Thursday and Saturday of the previous week.
10:25 p.m. – Police responded to a reported domestic dispute at Captain Parker Arms.
Tuesday, Feb. 26
12:17 a.m. – A noise complaint came in regarding loud trucks on Waltham Street.
7:09 a.m. – As a result of a motor vehicle stop in the area of Woburn and Lowell streets, Tracy L. Marshall, 43, of 2 Van de Graf Drive, Burlington, was arrested and charged with operating an unregistered, uninsured motor vehicle without a license.
10:23 a.m. –Scott R. McDevitt, 22, of 483 Waltham St., Lexington, Was arrested on an outside warrant. He was picked up at his residence.
1:29 p.m. – Police responded to a report of annoying phone calls on Spring Street.
8:58 p.m. – A Burlington Street resident reported a possible telephone scam. There was no money lost at the time of the call, the incident report said.
8:58 p.m. – A Laconia Street resident reported a suspicious white man in a dark clothes and a ski hat appeared to be casing his home. The responding officers located a man matching the description, who reportedly lived in the neighborhood and was out for a walk with his daughter.
11:22 p.m. – As a result of a motor vehicle stop in the area of Waltham Street and Concord Avenue, Kylee B. Farrington, 19, of 77 Lyman St., Waltham, was arrested on a warrant out of Hudson and subsequently charged with operating a motor vehicle without a license.
Wednesday, Feb. 27
8:49 a.m. – Officers investigated a reported motor vehicle accident in the area of Marrett Road and School Street.
11:04 a.m. – Police responded to a report of graffiti on signs in the area of Shade and Weston streets. The vandalism included the word “Razo” spray-painted on a sign and electrical box at the Shire complex, the incident report said.
11:41 a.m. – A juvenile was caught shoplifting at CVS on Mass Ave. The store issued the juvenile a No Trespass notice, according to the incident report.
1:38 p.m. – Police responded to a reported breaking-and-entering to a garage on Waltham Street.
7:01 p.m. – An erratic motor vehicle was reported on Marrett Road.
Thursday, Feb. 28
9:02 a.m. – Police responded to a reported hit-and-run accident on Emerson Gardens Road.
12:42 p.m. – A hit-and-run accident with property damage was reported on Bedford Street.
6:19 p.m. – Police responded to a reported motor vehicle accident involving a deer in the area of Grove and Eldred streets.
6:40 p.m. – A pedestrian was reportedly struck by a motor vehicle on Lincoln Street and transported the Children’s Hospital.
