Police Log: An Arrest for Vandalism and Attempted Super Bowl B-and-E
The following information was provided by the Lexington Police Department. An arrest does not indicate a conviction.
Friday, Feb. 1
7:39 a.m. – Officers investigated a reported motor vehicle accident involving a deer on Hartwell Avenue.
2:40 p.m. – Police responded to a report a motor vehicle operating erratically in the area of Lowell Street and Granger Way.
6:06 p.m. – Officers investigated a reported motor vehicle accident in the area of Marrett and Wilson roads.
7:57 p.m. – Police responded to a report of past breaking-and-entering on Wilson Road.
Saturday, Feb. 2
10:36 a.m. – A Childs Road residence was reportedly egged overnight.
10:59 a.m. – Officers investigated a reported motor vehicle accident on Massachusetts Avenue in which a vehicle struck a parking meter.
12:31 p.m. – Officers investigated a reported motor vehicle accident on Bartlett Avenue.
10:10 p.m. – Police responded to a report of vandalism on Lexington Ridge Drive. According to the incident report, a resident of the Avalon property on Lexington Ridge Drive reported some teens breaking light fixtures there before leaving the area in a Dodge Charger. Police located the vehicle, stopped it on Hayden Avenue near Waltham Street and arrested its driver. Craig T. Connelly, 18, of 271 Concord Ave., Wayland, was arrested and charged with malicious destruction of property over $250.
Sunday, Feb. 3
4:13 a.m. – Police responded to a report of obscene phone calls received on North Street.
9:11 a.m. – Police responded to Lowell Street for a disturbance involving a female unwelcome there.
9:05 p.m. – An alarm company reported attempted breaking-and-entering on John Hosmer Lane. LPD searched the area, with assistance from K9 units from Burlington and Westford, but were unable to locate the suspect at the time.
11:32 p.m. – A hit-and-run accident was reported on Liberty Avenue.
