Police Log: Attempted Fraud and B-and-Es

The following information from Oct. 3 to Oct. 6 was provided by the Lexington Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

 

Monday, Oct. 3

7:16 a.m. – Animal control was notified about an injured raccoon unable to walk in the area of Taylor Lane and Revere Street.

10 a.m. – Officers received a report of an attempted fraud on Vine Brook Road.

11:07 a.m. – A street sign was reported missing from Grove Street and Volunteer Way.

2:07 p.m. – Officers checked out a report of a suspicious person on Fairland Street.

3:33 p.m. – Police received a report of a burglary on North Street.

6:28 p.m. – Officers investigated a motor vehicle accident at Bedford Street and Harrington Road.

Tuesday, Oct. 4

12:13 a.m. – A juvenile runaway was reported from Philip Road.   

9:36 a.m. – Officers investigated a motor vehicle accident on Waltham Street.

10:34 a.m. – A bicycle was reportedly stolen from Hancock Street.

10:51 a.m. – Officers were asked to standby while an employee was fired from a Mass Ave business.

2:18 p.m. – Police were informed of a past car break on White Pine Lane.

3:10 p.m. – A hit-and-run accident causing property damage was reported on Mass Ave.

4:32 p.m. – Officers investigated a motor vehicle accident on Pelham Road.

8:34 p.m. – A wallet was reported stolen on Bedford Street.

Wednesday, Oct. 5

7:17 a.m. – Officers responded to a reported car break on School Street.

10:28 a.m. – A red light was reported out at Bedford and Hill streets.

10:53 a.m. – A cruiser checked out an area at Whittier and Longfellow roads with debris and possible campsite.

2:01 p.m. – Police investigated a possible fraud at Emerson Gardens Road.

3:13 p.m. – Officers responded to a reported disturbance on Walnut Street.

3:32 p.m. – Police responded to Shire Way for a reported larceny of credit cards.

4:34 p.m. – Officers investigated a motor vehicle accident at Woburn Street and Mass Ave.

5:25 p.m. – Police were called to Mass Ave and Bedford Street for a report of football players possibly practicing on the Battle Green in violation of town bylaws.

7:32 p.m. – A parking complaint came in from Baskin and Loring roads.

Thursday, Oct. 6

3:48 a.m. – A be-on-the-lookout broadcast was put out after a possible breaking and entering on Gleason Road.

8:28 a.m. – Officers investigated an accident at Waltham Street and Concord Avenue.

11:23 a.m. – A womens purse and Delaware drivers license were found on Lowell Street.

11:34 a.m. – A breaking an entering was reported on Colony Road.  

3:39 p.m. – A Tarbell Avenue resident reported an attempted phone scam.

9:38 p.m. – A noise complaint came in from Shade Street.

11 p.m. – Officers investigated a report of a possible stolen motor vehicle on Mass Ave.
