Police Log: Lexpress In an Accident and an Armed Robbery Arrest

The following information was provided by the Lexington Police Department. An arrest does not indicate a conviction.

 

Tuesday, Sept. 4

12:58 a.m. – Police responded to a reported domestic incident on Bedford Street. As a result, Matthew D. Griffin, 25, of 4 Kitson Park Drive, was arrested and charged with violating a domestic violence protective order.

12:52 p.m. – Officers responded to a reported biker vs. car motor vehicle accident in the area of Mass Ave and Muzzey Street.

1:01 p.m. – Animal control was notified of a loose running dog in the area of Augustus Road.

3:01 p.m. – A Mass Ave resident reported finding some bones under the family room in his new home. After detectives looked into it, the bones appeared to have been food scraps.

9:43 p.m. – A cruiser checked out a suspicious noise in the area of Bloomfield Street.

Wednesday, Sept. 5

8:35 a.m. – A motor vehicle accident involving a school bus or van was reported on Lowell Street.

10:14 a.m. – Police responded to a report of a possible transformer explosion in the area of Concord Avenue and Bayberry Road.

2:33 p.m. – Police responded to a reported breaking-and-entering on Preston Road.

2:48 p.m. – Officers investigated a reported motor vehicle accident involving a Lexpress bus in the area of Lowell and Maple streets. The operator of the other vehicle was cited and transported to the hospital for observation.

10:25 p.m. – Police responded to a reported armed robbery on Marrett Road. Lawrence Bruce Guzman, 37, of 358 Hampshire St., Lawrence, was arrested and charged with use of a motor vehicle in a felony. Kadell Michael McCloud, 36, of 123 Dracut St., Lawrence, was arrested and charged with carrying a firearm without a license, assault by dangerous weapon and larceny from a person.

Thursday, Sept. 6

1:12 a.m. – A cruiser checked on a Lowell Street house that had apparently been toilet-papered.

7:28 a.m. – Police responded to a report of a wallet and iPod possibly stolen from an unlocked motor vehicle on Frances Road.

10:45 a.m. – A cruiser checked on an older man hitchhiking in the area of Grove Street and Route 128/95.

12:35 p.m. – Officers investigated a reported motor vehicle accident in the area of Adams and East Street. According to the report, a vehicle struck a tree and the Fire Department requested the Tree Department respond to the scene, because it appeared in danger of falling down.

5:57 p.m. – Police responded to a reported residential lockout on Washington Street.

6:17 p.m. – A disturbance/fight was reported in the area of Kendall and Worthen roads. The responding officers reported no youths were found in the area, and the adults there said they saw nothing at all.

7:43 p.m. – A bicycle was reportedly stolen from Middleby Road.

8:30 p.m. – Trespassing was reported on Bedford Street.
