Police Log: Sharp Dressed Man Steals Vodka

The following information from Jan. 23 to Jan. 26 was provided by the Lexington Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

Monday, Jan. 23

1 p.m. – A resident reported receiving what she thought was a suspicious phone call from a veterans organization.

3:34 p.m. – Police responded to a reported domestic dispute on Grant Street.

4:01 p.m. – Suspicious persons were reported on Maple Street.

5:27 p.m. – Officers investigated a motor vehicle accident on Pleasant Street.

Tuesday, Jan. 24

10:27 a.m. – A wallet stolen during a past car-break was found in the area of Prospect Hill Road and Wachusett Drive.

12:05 p.m. – A Bank of America customer reportedly caused a disturbance inside the Mass Ave branch after being denied the ability to cash a check for refusing to comply with bank policy.

2:31 p.m. – A vehicle reportedly struck a parked car and a pedestrian on Mass Ave. According to the police report, the vehicle “hit the pedestrian lightly in the knee” and slightly tapped the rear bumper of another vehicle. There were no reported injuries.

4:37 p.m. – A Blossomcrest Road resident reported receiving a call from a collection agency claiming she owed AT&T more than $180. According to the police report, someone appears to have opened a false account in her name.

8:42 p.m. – A Maple Street resident reported her 15-year-old granddaughter was missing. She called back a while later to report the girl had returned home.

Wednesday, Jan. 25

12:42 a.m. – A desk clerk at a Bedford Street hotel reported a disturbance in a room. Police located two guests arguing and asked them to quiet down.

8:34 a.m. – Officers investigated a motor vehicle accident on Bedford Street.

9:18 a.m. – A Mass Ave resident reported four individuals came to her door offering to pave her driveway, which she felt was suspicious.  

9:53 a.m. – An unlocked motor vehicle was broken into on Emerson Gardens Road. 4:16 p.m. – A high school student reported her iPod touch was stolen from a makeup bag that was in her locker room during a basketball game a day earlier.

5:40 p.m. – Police responded to a report of two bottles of vodka stolen from on Mass Ave. According to the police report, the suspect was described as a black male, about 5’10’’ with medium build, wearing a backwards white scallly cap, brown leather jacket and pink dress shirt, khaki pants, a belt with a big sliver buckle and brown shoes. The man reportedly left on foot heading northbound on Mass Ave with two bottles of vodka worth about $75.

Thursday, Jan. 26

7:21 a.m. – Police responded to a reported mother-daughter domestic on Hamblen Street.

9:47 a.m. – A Westwood Road resident reported individuals came to her door claiming to be from a tree company her husband hired. According to the police report, the two white males left the area in a white truck with a yellow diamond shaped emblem on the side.

11:31 a.m. – A suspicious person was reported on Wyman Road.

1:01 p.m. – Police responded to a reported past hit-and-run accident on Waltham Street.

11:33 p.m. – Officers investigated a motor vehicle accident on Concord Avenue.
