Police Log: Rec Center Spray-Painted and Tires Slashed

The following information from June 18 to June 21 was provided by the Lexington Police Department. An arrest does not indicate a conviction.

 

Monday, June 18

12:34 a.m. – A suspicious person was reported on Vine Street.

10:39 a.m. – Police responded to a reported possible fraud on Stedman Road.

3:44 p.m. – Police responded to a report of a possibly drunk male in the area of Maple Street and the Bikeway. He was located and taken into protective custody.

7:04 p.m. – A parking complaint came in from the area of Worthen and Baskin roads.

11:20 p.m. – Officers investigated a motor vehicle accident in the area of Mass Ave and Worthen Road.

Tuesday, June 19

3 a.m. – Officers investigated a report of a motor vehicle accident on Spring Street.

8:37 a.m. – A Webster Road resident reported a suspicious male was rummaging through recycling bins in the area.

10:59 a.m. – Police responded to a report of vandalism on Lincoln Street. According to the report, the name “Morgan” was spray-painted in red and purple paint.

11:07 a.m. – An Albermarle Avenue resident reported an attempted theft of his boat. According to the incident report, the man told police that someone cut the lock off of his boat trailer sometime overnight. Additionally, the man told police that a trailing motor has been stolen from the same boat sometime in the past three months.

8:54 p.m. – A noise complaint came in from Concord Avenue.

Wednesday, June 20

1:29 a.m. – A house-sitter on Colony Road believed a person who had entered the house was breaking in, however it turned out the person who entered the home was there to check on the dog, which, as it turns out, reportedly died the day before and was buried in the back yard.

10:06 a.m. – A suspicious motor vehicle was reported in the area of Burlington and North streets.

11:59 a.m. – Police responded to a reported father-son domestic dispute on Concord Avenue.

12:11 p.m. – A Baskin Road resident reported the passenger-side tire was slashed sometime overnight. The incident is under investigation.  

1:25 p.m. – Vandalism was reported on Lincoln Street.

9:03 p.m. – Officers investigated a reported motor vehicle accident in the area of Waltham Street and Marrett Road.

Thursday, June 21

1:16 a.m. – Police responded to a reported disturbance on Taylor Lane.

9:10 a.m. – A cruiser checked out a reportedly intoxicated male on Bedford Street. The man was taken into protective custody.

9:27 a.m. – Police responded to a report of a slashed car tire on Reed Street and found two cars each had a tire slashed sometime during the night.

10:21 a.m. – Police responded to a report of a slashed car tire in the area of Simonds and Preston roads, which reportedly occurred sometime between 11:30 p.m.  Wednesday and 12:45 a.m. on Thursday.

10:32 a.m. – A Reed Street resident reported a tire was slashed.  

9:03 p.m. – Police responded to a reported domestic assault and battery on Marrett Road. Avery A. Fitzgerald, 20, of 259 Marrett Road, was arrested and charged with assault and battery.

10:49 p.m. – A motorist in the area of Lillian and Sheila roads reported someone threw an egg at his car while he was driving near Lillian road. While checking the area, officers located four youths in possession of alcohol and marijuana, according to police. The matter is under investigation.
