Police Log: Restraining Order Violations and Motorists Behaving Badly
The following information was provided by the Lexington Police Department. An arrest does not indicate a conviction.
Monday, Aug. 27
12:58 a.m. Police responded to a reported restraining order violation on Main Campus Drive. The alleged suspect had reportedly left the area and was arrested by police in Newton, who then turned him over to the Lexington Police Department. Jason David Paul, 38, of 12313 Main Campus Drive, Lexington, was arrested and charged with a restraining order violation.
10:49 a.m. – Police responded to a reported past breaking and entering to a motor vehicle on Balfour Street.
12:19 p.m. – A hit-and-run accident was reported on Mass Ave.
6:50 p.m. – An officer responded to Sherburne Road to check on an overdue adult with dementia.
Tuesday, Aug. 28
12:51 a.m. – A noise complaint came in from Countryside Village.
7:37 a.m. – A suspicious person was reported hanging around Bedford Street.
10:23 a.m. – Following an investigation into a reported restraining order violation on Mass Ave, Steven A. Kropper, 55, of 170 Summer St., Arlington, was arrested on a domestic violence protection order.
12:05 p.m. – A suspicious vehicle with a man sitting inside it was reported in the area of Grandview Avenue and Welch Road.
6:13 p.m. – Officers investigated a reported motor vehicle accident in the area of Marrett and Elena roads.
Wednesday, Aug. 29
12:05 a.m. – Police responded to Marrett Road for a reported domestic.
1:03 a.m. – A noise complaint came in from Stedman Road.
1:01 p.m. – Officers investigated a reported motor vehicle accident on Adams Street.
3:07 p.m. – Police responded to a reported motor vehicle accident involving a bicyclist in the area of Mass Ave and Grant Street. Bicyclist was transported to Lahey Clinic.
4:15 p.m. – A lawn mower was reportedly stolen from Heritage Drive.
10:04 p.m. – A noise complaint came in from Lexington Ridge Drive.
Thursday, Aug. 30
3:52 a.m. – A call came in from Charles Street reporting animals fighting in the area.
12:50 p.m. – Police responded to a report of wires down in the roadway on Marlboro Road.
2:51 p.m. – Possible identify theft was reported on Cary Avenue.
3:44 p.m. – Officers investigated a reported motor vehicle accident in the area of Waltham Street and Marrett Road.
4:09 p.m. – The school resource officer received a call from Clarke Middle School that a child did not get off the bus at home. The child was located at a friend’s house. 4:23 p.m. – Credit card fraud was reported on Pelham Road.
5:44 p.m. – A cell caller reported a black pickup hit her vehicle in the area of the town pool at Worthen Road. The woman then reportedly followed the vehicle to Depot Square, where she confronted the other driver. According to the police report, the pickup driver had been following the woman down Lincoln Street and Worthen, beeping at her when she stopped at Stop Signs, before sideswiping her as he attempted to pass near the intersection of Mass Ave and Worthen.
Douglas E. Tocio, of 490 Lexington Road, Concord, was arrested and charged with operating a motor vehicle under the influence of liquor, leaving the scene after property damage and an open container violation (a bottle of wine).
7:07 p.m. – As a result of a motor vehicle stop on Piper Road, Jason A. Doward, 34, of 172 Merrimack Meadows Lane, Tewksbury, was arrested on a warrant out of Lynn for leaving the scene of property damage and subsequently charged with operating a motor vehicle without an inspection sticker.
7:32 p.m. – A domestic argument was reported on Jonas Stone Circle.
7:37 p.m. – A bicyclist was reportedly struck by a motor vehicle in the area of Bedford Street and Simonds Road.
8:26 p.m. – Dozens of calls came in reporting fireworks in the area of Dexter Road.
10:15 p.m. – A possible fight was reported on Mass Ave hancock church nothing found.
