Police Log: School Situations and Traffic Violations

The following information from March 12 to March 15 was provided by the Lexington Police Department. An arrest not indicate a conviction.

 

Monday, March 12

12:22 p.m. – Police responded to an alleged larceny on Audubon Road.  According to the report, between 1:30 and 3 p.m., on Friday, March 9, an AM/FM radio was taken from a front yard construction site.  The radio was reportedly valued at $250.

4:40 p.m. – Officers assisted a resident with a firearm retrieval.

11:18 p.m. – A Cliffe Avenue resident reported that her boyfriend spotted an unknown person inside the fenced-off patio earlier in the day. At the time the boyfriend reportedly thought it was a worker, but then while watching the evening news remarked that the man looked like the guy on surveillance footage of the person who broke into a Burlington mosque.

Tuesday, March 13

9:23 a.m. – Officers investigated a motor vehicle accident on Marrett Road.

10:37 a.m. – Police responded to a reported credit card fraud on Leeland Terrace.

11:02 a.m. – An assistant principal at Clarke Middle School reported filing a 51A report with the Department of Children and Families on behalf of a student who allegedly told staff his mother was away for the week in Florida. Upon a follow up, officers determined that the student’s older brother was home from college for the week and staying with him at the house.

1:43 p.m. – A snowplow was reported stolen from Vynebrooke Village and Waltham Street.

2:10 p.m. – A dean at Minuteman High School reported a school investigation determined two female students, including one from Lexington, were found to be in possession of a small amount of marijuana. The girls will be mailed town bylaw violations.

3:24 p.m. – An iPhone was reported stolen from Waltham Street.

5:58 p.m. – Officers responded to a reported hit-and-run causing property damage on Mass Ave.

Wednesday, March 14

12:09 a.m. – Police responded to a reported domestic dispute on Smith Avenue.

8:40 a.m. – As a result of a motor vehicle stop on Hartwell Avenue, Melissa J. Ganley, 39, of 111 Katahdin Drive, Lexington, was charged with operating after her license was suspended, operating with revoked registration, operating an uninsured motor vehicle and a Burlington warrant for driving without a license, license plate or insurance.

11:01 a.m. – A Brookwood Road resident reported receiving harassing phone calls.

12:03 a.m. -- Officers investigated a motor vehicle accident at Waltham Street and Marrett Road.

4:26 p.m. – A cell phone was reportedly stolen on Bedford Street.

6:22 p.m. – A suspicious person was reported on Colony Road.

8:27 p.m. – Larceny from a locker was reported on Bedford Street.

Thursday, March 15

12 a.m. – A call came in reporting all-night parking on Robbins Road.

11:43 a.m. – A cruiser checked out a report of a vehicle parked in the driveway of a vacant house.

2:39 p.m. – A resident came into the station and reported someone from an unknown location accessed their account on March 13 and made a transfer of $53,000. The man is working with his bank to determine where the transfer took place and was provided information about following up on identify fraud.

6:19 p.m. –As a result of a motor vehicle stop on Mass Ave, officers found a small amount of marijuana, grinder with residue and a four-inch folding knife. All of those items were confiscated and one of the vehicle’s three teen-aged occupants received a civil citation for possession of small amount of marijuana.
