Police Log: Stolen Copper and Some Partying

Lexington Police incident reports from July 8 to July 10. The following information was supplied by the Lexington Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

 

Friday, July 8

4:09 a.m. – A motor vehicle stop at Lowell Street and Litchfield Road result in the arrest of a Woburn woman. Adelson Brandao DeSouza, 43, of 56 Fowle St., Woburn, was charged with operating without a license and speeding.

5:57 a.m. – Officers investigated a single-car motor vehicle accident on Westview Street from which one person was transported to the hospital.

6:35 a.m. – A gas furnace valued at $1,500 and an aluminum coil valued over $2,00 were reportedly stolen from a construction site on Tyler Road between the afternoon of July 7 and morning of July 8.

1:10 p.m. – Three copper cords were reported stolen from a building on Hartwell Avenue. Each cord was valued at about $2,500. Copper was also reported stolen from the site the previous day.

6:09 p.m. – A resident of Lawrence Lane reported her 16-year-old son was bitten on the leg by a dog near the Bowman School.

8:05 p.m. – Foreign currency valued at $250 US dollars was reported stolen from a locked at the Boston Sports Club.

9:58 p.m. – A loud party was reported on Lowell Street, but it was all quiet when police arrived.

Saturday, July 9

10:02 a.m. – A parking complaint came in from Stedman Road and Brookside Avenue.

5:20 p.m. – Officers investigated a reported motor vehicle accident at Lowell and East streets.

9:55 p.m. – Officers were called to Bedford Street for a report of youths throwing and striking a car with a hollowed out egg filled with a white substance. They checked the area and found neither youths nor egg shells.

9:59 p.m. – A fireworks complaint came in from Reed Street and Vaille Avenue.

11:31 p.m. – A resident reported loud gathering of youths at a Lowell Street residence. Officers found six cars on the street and a group of youths at the same house they were called to one night earlier. The youths, whose parents were out of town, agreed to move the party inside.

Sunday, July 10

1:13 p.m. – Officers responded to Massachusetts Avenue to investigated a reported odor of gasoline.

6:09 p.m. –A young woman came to the station seeking advice regarding unwanted telephone calls from a former boyfriend, who threatened to harm her property.

8:34 p.m. – Officers responded to a verbal dispute between parents and a son on Plymouth Road. The son reportedly left for the evening.
