Poll: Should Companies be Boycotted for the Political Views of Their Execs?

Chick-fil-A CEO’s comments against gay marriage became a big issue, and now Amazon's Jeff Bezos has contributed millions to support same-sex marriage.

When Chick-fil-A CEO Dan Cathy recently said, “We are very much supportive of the family—the biblical definition of the family unit,” he stirred the pot on gay marriage.

The CEO's statements ignited strong reactions, like that of Boston Mayor Thomas Menino who said he plans to block the restaurant from opening in the city.

Now, Jeff Bezos, founder and CEO of Amazon, has put the money behind his support of same sex marriage. He donated $2.5 million to defend Washington state's same-sex marriage law.

What do you think? Should people and even governments boycott the chain because of the company's political views?

Sure: since corporations are now people, they should be judged in the same way we react to other people.
