(UPDATED) Rollover on Route 128 in Lexington

State Police and Lexington firefighters are on the scene.

The following release is from the Massachusetts State Police:

Today at approximately 1:21pm, troopers from the Massachusetts State Police Concord Barracks repsonded to a single vehicle crash on I-95 southbound at Rt.2 in Lexington.  The facts and circumstances remain under investigation with the assistance of troopers from the Massachusetts State Police Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Section and Crime Scene Services Section.

Initial investigation by Trooper Michael Alker indicates that a 2011 Honda Pilot, operated by an 80-year-old Lincoln man, left the Rt.2 eastbound overpass and crashed onto the southbound lanes of Rt.2. 

The operator was transported by Lexington Fire and EMS to Leahy Clinic in Burlington with serious but non-life threatening injuries. The right two southbound lanes of I-95 were closed for approximately 45 minutes. No further information is available at this time.

A car has rolled over on Route 128 south at Route 2 reportedly leaving one person trapped, according to Twitter reports.

Massachusetts State Police and Lexington firefighters have responded to the scene and are working to extract the person from the car, according to Twitter reports.
