Sandwiches on Super Bowl Sunday

Avenue Deli, 1806 Massachusetts Ave.: If you're trying to figure out what to serve hungry football fans on Sunday, go with crowd-pleasing sandwiches from this local deli. Located at 1806 Massachusetts Ave., Avenue Deli serves classics like ruebens, the turkey club and ham and cheese.
But the menu has some twists and surprises, like the timeless classic, peanut butter and jelly. Or, go with peanut butter and fluff. You can order sandwiches according to the individual tastes of your guests.
While they fight over whether the Steelers or Packers will win, give them something else to fight over: who gets dibs on the specialty sandwiches.
The Paul Revere is made with roast beef, cheddar cheese and lettuce, topped with barbecue sauce. The Thanksgiving turkey sandwich has all the holiday fixings, folded together in a tomato wrap.
The deli also has Italian cold cuts, capicola, Genoa salami and mortadella, and serves Boars Head deli meats.
