Primary Polling Locations Adjust to School Projects in Lexington

In advance of the Sept. 6 state primaries coming up next week, here's a refresher on the eight polling locations for Lexington's nine precincts.

The following information was provided by the town of Lexington.

Voting for the Sept. 6 State Primary will be held for Lexington’s nine precincts at eight voting locations. Voting at precincts 2 and 4 will be held in the ‘kindergarten classrooms’ located at the far-right end of the Bowman and Bridge schools, due to gym unavailability during building renovations. Signage will direct voters to parking area and voting entrance.

Bowman School & Bridge School Voting Changes:

  • Bowman School voters approaching from Worthen Road East should take immediate right to Philip Road; take third left off of Philip Road to Rockville Ave extension. Rockville Ave extension/Bowman Drive is a ONE-WAY drive from Rockville Ave to Worthen Road East. DO NOT approach from Worthen Road East end of school.
  • Bridge School voters should enter right-hand driveway -- closest to playing fields

Estabrook School Parking Changes:

  • Estabrook School access remains the same off of Grove Street.  However, the newly designed parking lot in the front of the building, for use by voters and building visitors, has been shifted closer to the front of the building. Voting access remains the same – through the doorway directly into the gymnasium.

All schools in Lexington will be in session for a half-day on Thursday, Sept. 6, with middle school dismissal at 11:45 a.m. and elementary school dismissal at 12:15 p.m.

Staff will remain at all school buildings for professional development training except for Bridge and Bowman staff that will be trained off-site.
