To mark National Public Works Week, the Lexington Department of Public Works will hold its annual DPW Day from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. this Thursday, May 24, at the Samuel Hadley Public Services Building on Bedford Street.
The annual event features equipment on display and activities geard toward children. Refreshments are served and employees will be on hand.
Additionally, a selectmen’s proclamation was signed to observe National Public Works Week, May 20-26. The proclamation noted the dedicated efforts of the DPW in maintaining the health, safety and comfort of the citizens of Lexington.
