Apples, pumpkins and squash matched the autumn leaves in Lexington Center yesterday as the Lexington Farmers Market wrapped up its 2011 season.

In addition to fresh fall produce, market shoppers picked up crafts for charity, herbs, lamb, breads, pasta, parsnip soup, spanikopita and wine on Tuesday, Oct. 25, the last regular market day of the LFM’s seventh season at the corner of Mass Ave and Woburn Street.

This year's lineup featured 39 total vendors, with 32 filling spaces on any given week. Among the farmers, artisans and other vendors added this year, their first-time offerings included chocolates, cookies, cow's milk cheese, cultivated mushrooms, flowers, knife-sharpening, nuts, sauces, wine and yogurt.

LFM devotees won't have to wait until next year, however. More like next month. The Market's second Thanksgiving FEASTival will be held Tuesday, November 22, from 12 to 4 p.m. at Seasons Four on Mass Ave.
