This week we’re in Lexington Center, looking at the empty space next at 1751 Mass Ave., the former home of 344, the young women's clothing store that closed earlier this month.
It's a prime location right in the heart of town. What would you like to behind those glass walls?
The Center is already home to several eateries, shops, banks and real estate offices. But maybe you have an idea of what would compliment existing businesses or fill a void of what’s lacking in Lexington Center.

I like the idea of a "Stevens Market". It woud be a nice place to also pick up locally grown/produced items. Lexington fare type of store. I think I would rather grab some milk and bread (maybe fruit) there then the CVS.

I think everyone knows that another bank, another salon, and another real estate office is ridiculous. We have too many of them already and they have "ruined" our town center as a tourist destination. I'd personally like a nice diner that serves breakfast, and sells used books!

I wouldn't mind a diner but I also think a craft store (like a mix of craft items sold) or a scrapbook store would be nice. A place where kids and adults alike can take some classes and have fun.

Above all, something locally owned, not corporate -
Not another bank, real estate agency, or beauty parlor.
My first, second and third choice: a book store. Once there were three in Lexington, now there are none - pretty sad.

those are some great ideas. howsabout an outdoor equipment store, akin to the Natick Outdoor Store or an Army/Navy Surplus type of store

Yes!!! Something locally owned! Loving the bookstore and diner idea- I would love to see a Booksmith like the one in the town of Brookline! What about a nice men's clothing store?! Gentleman of Lexington- would you shop there and/or want something like that?
