2. Hastings Family Fun Fair
Where/When: Maria Hastings School, 7 Crosby Road, Lexington; 11 a.m., Saturday, March 9
Why Go: Activities will include a life-size Candy Land game, Plinko, obstacle course relay, crafts, face-painting and prizes for kids of all ages. And, to tie-in with Lexington’s 300th Anniversary celebration, the fair will also include colonial games and crafts and a visit from the Lexington Minutemen.

3. Lexington Reads: This Land Is Your Land, A Concert for All Ages
Where/When: Cary Memorial Library, 1874 Massachusetts Ave, Lexington; 2 p.m., Saturday, March 9
Why Go: Because singer-songwriter Roger Tincknell will take his audience on a musical trip from colonial America to today.
4. 6th Annual Go Green Dance
Where/When: Knights of Columbus, 177 Bedford St, Lexington; 6:30 p.m., Saturday, March 9
Why Go: A fundraiser for Lexington's Global Warming Action Coalition, the 6th Annual Go Green Dance features the Trial Run Band playing classic rock, blues, and a dash of Motown.
5. Friends of Minute Man NP Lecture Series
Where/When: 15 Bedford Rd, Lincoln; 3 p.m., Sunday, March 10
Why Go: J.L. Bell will discuss the challenges that General Washington faced gathering intelligence on the British Military in Boston. This talk reveals the secrets and names the names from Washington's spy ring.
