Where Do Drivers Speed in Lexington?

Let's see if there's a consensus.

We all know there are spots where people tend to speed in Lexington.

Tell us in the comments section which are the most dangerous and might need a raised section, another stop sign, more crosswalks or another measure to slow down traffic. Next week, we'll run a poll based on the top few answers we received in the callout.

Hill Street, Concord Ave and Maple Street (when not backed up with rush hour traffic) come to mind...

Agreed about Hill Street. Also Cedar Street, especially the two relatively straight and downhill sections - worse during golf season but there are plenty of neighborhood residents who also speed.

Waltham Street between Marrett Road and the high school. No regard for speed limit. The blind driveways and the curve in the road make the situation even worse.

Hill Street at the intersection of Cedar and Paul Revere - tee times make for speeding drivers! 4 way stop makes much more sense and visibility from Paul Revere crossing over to Hill is difficult in the right direction of Cedar.

People who rush to their second or third job at the nursing home on Emerson Gardens Rd. speed down Bryant Rd. at a dangerous pace.

Hancock Streeet
There are 2 really dangerous intersections on Hancock Street:
1. Bike Path - the bikers have a stop sign, cars do not. Bikers typically cruise right into the intersection without stopping. Yesterday a biker was hit by a car. Accidents there are common.
2. Harrington/Hancock intersection with Bedford Rd. I would like to see the statistics, as it seems like there is an accident there daily. They should really close off the island and not allow traffic flow / entry / exit from Hancock to Harrington.
