We always mean to go to a real pumpkin patch and hunt around but this year b/c of the rainy weather we went to Wilson Farms. Would love to hear about some good local patches where we can go and make a trip of it (cider, hayrides, etc but not too crowded)

Once upon a time we grew our own pumpkins which was fun, but this year I wimped out and just got one from Stop & Shop. I thought it might rot because I got it early but the exploding furry critter population has pretty well destroyed it so we will have to buy another. I am still trying to get a picture of one of the resident squirrels sitting inside what is left of the pumpkin.

Hank, it's not wimping out -- it's getting old and not having time to cultivate pumpkins ... or so I tell myself.
