BookGoodies.com -- It's Like a Goody Bag for Book Lovers

Happy Wednesday. Add a little spice to your day with musings from Jai.

I’m back from summer vacation. ... I don’t remember going anywhere, but I do remember being crazy busy ... but now I can share some of my findings with you, like this gem I just stumbled upon.

BookGoodies.com -- it’s a comprehensive site that gives independent authors a chance to be discovered, reviewed and read. They have more than 100 podcasts already recorded of interviews with authors, and publishers.

The have an online bookstore, a reviewer newsletter you can subscribe to, podcasts and, the best part? Free kindle books…YUP free kindle books.

At the time of this writing, several books were available for free download through Sept. 11 for a two day interval. I downloaded a new thriller called Tourist Trap, by Julie Smith -  “…about a lawyer sleuth who is warm and witty, never takes herself too seriously, and on one occasion offers closing testimony with green hair. A highly embarrassing moment, but the bright chartreuse is all in the service of making her case. No way does she believe her client would nail somebody—especially to a cross. And the things she has to do to prove it are hilarious and often unorthodox, yet always professional. Sometimes hyper-professional–the average lawyer simply can’t be bothered spraying herself with Thunderbird to fit in with her witnesses!”

Sounds good to me.

Bookmark this site as they add books daily.

What is better then a good read? Well, a free one, I guess.

Happy reading.
