Lexington Summer Fun Fest

The Town of Lexington Human Services Department, Recreation Department, Police Department and Fire Department are pleased to announce the fourth annual Lexington Summer Fun Fest 2012 event for all members of the Lexington community at the Center Recreation Complex.

 

This event has been planned with the goal of enhancing a sense of community for residents.  The Town of Lexington is committed to providing safe, fun, substance free activities for youth, families and residents of Lexington.  We are encouraging community members to bring a picnic to the Center Recreation Complex and enjoy free games, swimming and DJ music with friends and neighbors.  Parents and guardians, please know that this is NOT a drop-off event, and children under 12 should be accompanied by a parent or guardian while attending.

 

The open swim (no cost) will be from 7:00pm until 8:30 pm.  Other activities will run from 6:00 pm until 8:30 pm.

 

6:00 pm - 8:30 pm:

  • Picnic
  • Use of recreation facilities (track, basketball, tennis)
  • DJ music and games
  • Police motorcycle and cruiser
  • Fire engine

The Center Recreation Complex is home to basketball courts, four swimming pools, a track, two baseball fields, the Fitzgerald Little League Field (off Park Drive), a softball field (with lights for night play), a playground, skate park, the Gallagher tennis courts (10 courts, four lighted for night play with reservations) and a full-sized soccer/lacrosse field. The Teresa & Roberta Lee Fitness Path that begins at Lincoln Park also runs by the complex.
