Documentary screening, "Miss Representation"
Celebrate International Women's Day!
Theology on Tap, Hancock's young adult discussion group, invites you...
to a screening of "Miss Representation", in the church's sanctuary.
This documentary explores the ways in which mainstream media contributes to the under-representation of women in positions of power and influence in the United States. (Did you know that women make up 51% of the US population, yet compromise only 17% of Congress, putting the U.S. in 90th place in the world for women in national legislature?).
Discussion time follows the screening.
