Lexington Field & Garden Club Garden Tour

The Lexington Field & Garden Club welcomes you to tour eight private gardens ranging from an organically maintained garden complete with chickens, to one set up for entertaining with an outdoor kitchen, spa pool and bluestone patio.  One garden has a modern and antique rose collection, as well as a wide perennial border.   Another contains a section for wildflowers, a water garden stocked with koi and goldfish, an alpine rock garden, and 10 vegetable beds.  A side garden at one site boasts lilac, butterfly bush, iris, peonies, astilbes, columbine, sedum, hydrangeas, ligularia and monkshood. 

 

This biannual garden tour will be held on Saturday, June 4, 2011 from 10am to 4pm.  Tickets are $20 in advance and  $25 on the day of the tour.   Tickets may be purchased at the Lexington Visitors Center, Wilson Farms, Wagon Wheel Nursery, Seasons Four, Mahoney's in Winchester, and McCue's Garden Center in Woburn , or email Kathleen.gill@verizon.net .  On the day of the tour tickets may be purchased at the Lexington Visitors Center, 1875 Massachusetts Avenue.
