Lexington Historical Society's Historic Houses open for Thanksgiving Weekend

Lexington Historical Society's three Historic House Museums will re-open for Friday and Saturday of Thanksgiving weekend for regular tours. Buckman Tavern Museum shop will also be open both days.

 

Buckman Tavern- 10-4 tours every 1/2 hour; Hancock-Clarke House- 10-4 tours every hour on the hour; Munroe Tavern- 12-4 tours every hour on the hour

 

Tickets can be purchased at all three houses.

The Buckman Tavern is located at the intersection of Massachusetts Avenue at the Battle Green in Lexington Center. Built around 1710, Buckman Tavern is a historic landmark operated by the Lexington Historical Society. It was famous for being the gathering place for many of the minutemen who would later fight the British on the Lexington Battle Green. It is open for tours on a seasonal basis and also has a gift shop.
