RIVERS AND TIDES
The award-winning documentary on the work of naturalist artist Andy Goldsworthy
January 20 2pm
This world-famous artist does not work with brushes or commercial pigments. Instead, he seeks to capture the essence of natural sites by constructing breathtakingly beautiful forms and colored patterns from materials he finds there: stones, ice, leaves, flower petals, sticks, flowing water. He photographs the work during its construction and during its natural dissolution by the elements. The ephemeral nature of his work captures the dimension of time.
Whatever your favored medium, this film will inspire you in your art.
The film (run -time 90 min.) will be screened in the Plummer Studio starting at 2pm.
Light refreshments will be served and there will be an informal group discussion after the movie.
Admission and Parking are Free • All Welcome
